These charming sets of glasses in a carrier are inspired by the tea served at tiny stalls, ‘dhabas’ and railway platforms by chaiwallas shouting ‘cutting chai!’ The dye for our glasses was cast using these glasses, which were then recreated in clay, white or red. The bisqued glasses have been glazed in vibrant colours by ceramic artists of Kolkata, and then placed in sets of 6 in a metal carrier sprayed in pop-coloured metal paint.
The glasses are food safe, and can be used for tea, or simply kept on a sideboard as a ‘conversation piece!’
